On kitchen was called:
and the second was called:
The food they cook included the paella, gazpacho, tortilla al horno and lots more. The students enjoyed cooking the traditional Spanish food and and everyone enjoyed eating it.
Our 6th day here has been totally different to what we usually do in Spain at the weekends. Students have spent their time with their respective host families and they have done many appealing activities. Some of them have gone to the cinema to see 'Alice in Wonderland' in 3D, to the circus, to play bowling, to visit Cambridge... We, teachers, have inmersed in the Anglosaxon culture having lunch and dinner with some of the staff teachers from Bishop Heber School. We cooked a Spanish omelette and one of the English teachers dared to cook a Spanish paella. We had a lovely meal!
Talking about meals, I will write down Natalia's birthday cake recipe as many of the Spanish studetns asked me to do it. Here it is:
Ingredients:
- 8 oz flour. (oz (ounce) = 28'35 gr.)
- 2 oz powder chocolate cocoa.
- 5 eggs (1 egg for 2 oz of flour).
-10 oz sugar.
- 10 oz margarine.
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder.
- chocolate to spread for the cover.
Elaboration:
- Sift the flour and the baking powder into a large bowl.
- Add the remaining ingredients and beat with an electric beater until everthing is mixed.
-Prepared a tin with oven paper and spread some butter on it.
- Preheat the oven 150 degrees and bake for about 45-50 minutes.
